- Description
-
The Oral History Collection at Jackson State University consists of over 20 individual collections spanning over 700 audio tapes and numerous video recordings.
In addition to the recordings, the collections also include many of the original transcripts, often done by students in Dr. Alferdteen Harrison's Oral History classes and workshops. The transcripts, which often have handwritten edits and are sometimes fully handwritten and/or incomplete, are historical documents in their own right, even outside of the original recordings. - Rights
